Barbara Sofie Klein is the second child of Morten and Kirstine Klein. She has twin brother Benedikt. She was born 1 October 1995. She has younger sister Birgitte from 1997, and younger brothers Bjørn from 1997 and Bertram from 1999. She lives in Copenhagen Denmark. She is the wife of Martin Hougaard. She is the mother of Carl Klein-Hougaard from 2015 and Otto Klein-Hougaard from 2016.

In 2001, when she was 5, she started 0th Grade at Humlebæk Skole, in Humlebæk, Denmark.
In 2011, when she was 15, she started high school at Espergærde Gymnasium with the pathway Biology A, Matematik A, Kemi B. She finished in 2014, she got a grade average of 11.0.
In 2015, after having taken a break to watch Carl at home, she started studying Midwifery at Metropolitan University College in Copenhagen.

Relationship and marriage[]
She met Martin in August 2011, as he was in the same class in high school. The two started dating right away, and moved into a flat together in July 2013. In the end of May 2014 she found out that she was pregnant, and decided to wait a year until applying to university. She in Martin moved into their flat in Copenhagen in August 2014. Carl was born in January 2015, and Otto followed in May 2016. In October 2015, Martin and Barbara agreed to get married, and they got married in August 2016, in Frihavnskirken in Copenhagen, the same time as Otto's christening.
